
ISTANBUL, May 13 Six parties of the opposition » People's Alliance» has not yet decided on the functions of the seven vice-presidents, said in an interview the deputy head of the Republican People's Party (CHP) of Turkish presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu Oguz Salycı.
«Concrete functions of the vice-presidents will be discussed after the elections. Which party will get how many ministerial portfolios will depend on the number of mandates received after the elections,» Salydzhi said.
According to him, the leaders of the six parties will hold a special meeting to discuss this issue if necessary.
Memleket party leader Muharrem Ince announced his withdrawal of his candidacy three days before the elections, now three politicians will compete for the presidency: incumbent President Tayyip Erdogan, seven opposition party candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and a coalition candidate Ata Sinan Ogan.
The «Table of Six», which is now officially called the «People's Alliance», includes in addition to the leader of the Republican People's Party Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, the head of the «Good Party» (Iyi parti) Meral Akşener, the chairman of the right-wing conservative Sunni party «Happiness» (SP) Temel Karamollaoglu , head of the Kemalist-conservative «Democratic Party» Gultekin Uysal, leader of the liberal «Democracy and Breakthrough Party» (DEVA), ex-Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan and ex-premier and ex-Foreign Minister of Turkey, head of the «Future» party Ahmet Davutoglu.
Kılıçdaroğlu said earlier that he would appoint the leaders of five parties, as well as the mayors of Istanbul and Ankara, as vice presidents.
Presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey scheduled for 14 May. The second round of the presidential elections, if no candidate receives 50% of the votes, is scheduled for May 28.
