MOSCOW, May 14. Twitter users suspected the Eurovision winner from Sweden Loreen of plagiarism.
In particular, on the Web drew attention to the significant similarity of her song «Tattoo» and the composition «In Captivity» by Ukrainian singer Mika Newton, which she released in 2005.
«It's definitely plagiarism,» one user marveled.
«From the first chord, I thought something was wrong,» added the second.
«Damn it! «, — picked up the third.
«It was the most falsified. The winner was clear from the very beginning,» the reader expressed confidence.
The author of Captured herself tried to evade when fans started asking her relevant questions about Loreen.
«Friends, I will not comment on this. I will not I want to start drama. I don't need it! <…> Life is too short to argue over songs whether they sound the same or not. Some of you think so. Some of you don't. My song is out in 2005. Please stop bombarding me with messages and tags.»
Singer Loreen (Laureen Talhaoui) from Sweden won Eurovision 2023 with the song «Tattoo». She scored 583 points after a joint vote of a professional jury and television viewers. Rapper Käärijän from Finland came second with 526 points, and Noah Kirel from Israel came third with 242 points.
