The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted in a new publication on the fighting in Ukraine that Russia has been conducting a regular series of strikes using drones and missiles recently. Institute analysts believe that this is likely part of a new Russian air campaign as part of a special military operation aimed at reducing the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to conduct counter-offensive military operations.
«Since April 19, Russian troops have launched at least 10 series of strikes throughout Ukraine, especially in the rear areas,» the message on the ISW website says. Experts note that to a greater extent these strikes were carried out using kamikaze drones.
The current Russian air campaign is focused on alleged Ukrainian military-industrial and logistics facilities deep in the rear.
In the course of The last strike of the Russian military hit the Ukrainian ammunition depot in Khmelnitsky and Ukrainian facilities and places of deployment of troops and equipment in the area of Ternopil and Petropavlovka in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
