MOSCOW, May 15. Belarusian Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik arrived on Monday on a visit to Moscow, the republic's embassy in Russia said.
Earlier, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said that the head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry will visit Moscow on May 15-17, will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, with Chairman of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko and Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
«The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry flew to Moscow. First of all, he visited the territory … of Belarus in the very center of Moscow — the embassy. Sergei Aleinik briefly discussed tomorrow's negotiations with the ambassador and envoy-advisers of the diplomatic mission. The visit promises to be eventful,» the Belarusian embassy said in his Telegram channel.
The press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry also confirmed the start of Aleinik's visit to Russia. «The official visit to Russia of Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik has begun… The focus is on the Belarusian-Russian agenda, cooperation in the international arena,» the press service said on its Twitter.
