MOSCOW, May 15. Russian investigators have opened a criminal case on the encroachment on the life of Acting LPR Interior Minister Igor Kornet, the press service reported RF IC.
On Monday, an explosion occurred in a barbershop located next to the republican television and 500 meters from the Government House and the building of the People's Council in Lugansk. A source in law enforcement agencies said that as a result of the incident, Acting Head of the LPR Ministry of Internal Affairs Igor Kornet was injured. According to him, Kornet's condition is now stable.
«The investigating authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the LPR initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime … «attempted murder», «illegal acquisition of explosives or explosive devices» and «encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer.» For 50 minutes, an explosive device went off in a beauty salon located along Demekhina Street in Lugansk,» the agency said.
The Investigative Committee added that civilians were injured as a result of the detonation, including Igor Kornet, Acting Minister of the Interior of the LPR, who was also injured.
