General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Krivonos: Zelensky made a serious mistake in assessing the power of Russia
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a serious mistake when he thought that the Ukrainian army could easily resist the Russian Armed Forces, said in an interview with the Ukrainian TV channel Fabrika Novosti Major General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Krivonos.
«Remember last year Zelensky talked about how we broke the back of the Russian army, so look, more than a year has passed since his words, and they calmly continue military operations,» — the interlocutor of the publication shared his point of view.
According to the Ukrainian general, Zelensky's main mistake during the conflict was a false assessment of the state of the Russian army. Krivonos believes that this was the reason for the subsequent failures of the Ukrainian armed forces at the front.
At the same time, he also did not agree with the words of French President Emmanuel Macron about Moscow's alleged geopolitical defeat. During such critical situations, one cannot believe the relevant statements of a political nature, since they have nothing to do with reality, the general concluded.
