MOSCOW, May 15.WhatsApp is introducing a “Close Chat” feature that allows you to transfer personal correspondence to a separate folder, to open which you will need to enter a device password or scan biometric data, in addition, the contents of messages from closed chats will be automatically hidden in notifications, according to the messenger’s official blog.
«Today we're going to talk about the new «Close Chat» feature, which is another security measure that will help you protect your most private communications. After you close a chat, it will be moved from the main screen to a separate folder. To open it, you will need to enter a device passcode or scan biometrics such as a fingerprint, and the content of messages from private chats will be automatically hidden from notifications as well.
It is noted that in order to close the chat, you must click on the name of the interlocutor in personal correspondence or the name of the group and select the appropriate option. To make private chats visible on the chats screen, you need to swipe slowly, enter your phone passcode, or scan your biometrics.
