MOSCOW, May 17. Russian air defense systems shot down 9 HIMARS MLRS and 19 Ukrainian drones over the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported .
«Air defense systems intercepted nine rockets of HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. In addition, 19 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed,» the ministry's summary reads.
According to the report, Ukrainian drones were shot down in the DPR, LPR, Kharkiv and Kherson regions.
In total, 427 Ukrainian military aircraft, 233 helicopters, 4,197 unmanned aerial vehicles, 422 anti-aircraft missile systems, 9,206 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,100 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 4,837 guns have been destroyed since the beginning of the special operation field artillery and mortars, as well as 10,267 units of special military vehicles.
