In Krasnoyarsk, a garrison military court sentenced a former lecturer at the Siberian State University of Science and Technology named after Academician M.F. Reshetnev to 10 years in a penal colony. He was found guilty of accepting bribes from students in the total amount of more than 800 thousand rubles. The teacher was accused of crimes under Part 3 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, part 2 of Art. 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Receiving a bribe by an official for illegal actions; mediation in bribery for knowingly illegal actions.”
In the period from 2015 to 2019, the defendant received bribes from 19 students ranging from 10,000 to 110,000 rubles for giving positive grades in academic disciplines. At the same time, the teacher did not check the students' knowledge at all.
