MOSCOW, May 15. The condition of the co-chairman of «A Just Russia — For the Truth», writer Zakhar Prilepin, is stable, doctors are carrying out the whole range of necessary medical measures, continuing consultations on further tactics treatment, the press service of Prilepin reported.
“Zakhar Prilepin’s condition is stable. At the moment, Nizhny Novgorod doctors are implementing the full range of therapeutic measures necessary for this type of injury, and also continue to consult with colleagues from federal research medical centers on further treatment tactics,” the press service said.
Prilepin continues to remain in the intensive care unit until a decision is made on further steps to restore.
On May 6, Prilepin's car was blown up on a highway in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The writer was wounded, his colleague Alexander Shubin, who is an employee of the Oplot battalion of the Russian Guard, died. Police in hot pursuit detained a man who may be involved in the car bombing, he was charged under articles on the attack and illegal trafficking of explosives.
Prilepin, in his Telegram channel on May 7, said that he was driving a car and as a result of the explosion he received fractures of both legs. On Friday, the press service of Prilepin informed that the writer had successfully completed the second stage of the operation to fix leg fractures, his condition is stable.
