
MOSCOW, May 18. The Bank of Russia expects inflation in the country to return to the target level near 4% in 2024, according to the regulator's report for public consultations «Obzor monetary policy».
«Annual inflation fell to 4% in 2017, for 2017-2021 it averaged 4.2%. After a jump in early 2022, inflation began to decline rapidly. It is expected to return to the target level in 2024» , the document says.
According to the forecast of the Central Bank, inflation in Russia in 2023 will be 4.5-6.5%, and in the future it will be at the level of 4%.
