St. Petersburg, 17 May. The Kuibyshevsky District Court of St. Petersburg will consider an administrative case on violation of sanitary standards by the Maly Drama Theater — the Theater of Europe (MDT), whose work was suspended by Rospotrebnadzor, the joint press service of the city courts reports.

Earlier, the department of Rospotrebnadzor for St. Petersburg «in accordance with the requirement of the prosecutor's office» conducted an inspection of the MDT. According to its results, as reported by Rospotrebnadzor, «numerous violations of the law in the field of ensuring the sanitary and epidemiological welfare of the population» were revealed. The work of the theater is suspended until the relevant court decision is made. As a source familiar with the situation added, the check in the theater was carried out on the citizen's appeal to the prosecutor's office.
It was reported that the relevant administrative case against MDT had already been submitted to the Kuibyshevsky District Court on 10 May. But later the court returned it to Rospotrebnadzor to eliminate the shortcomings of the materials on violations identified in the MDT. As the judicial press service clarified earlier, the city department of Rospotrebnadzor, in particular, imputed to MDT the lack of necessary vaccinations for a number of employees, as well as the delay in checking for infections in the cook and barmaid. The claims of the department also concerned an empty temperature log, the lack of personal disinfectants, an uncleaned dining room and the use of unmarked cleaning equipment.
