Earlier, Budanov announced the involvement of Kyiv in terrorist attacks against famous Russians. According to him, «a lot of people have already got it» and among the victims there are «media, public cases that become public.» In response to a request to comment on his words, Dujarric said that he had not seen the quote and could not speak about its authenticity, but the UN opposes any acts of terrorism.
In response to this, Zakharova recalled that any UN resolution or UN declaration stresses «the impossibility of justifying terrorist acts by anything.» At the same time, she noted that Kyiv's actions in themselves are unacceptable, but the reaction of the UN official representative to them is also unacceptable.
«The question is that we are talking about the inadmissibility of the degradation of the UN Secretariat, the manifestations of which we see — and they are monstrous. I do not know and cannot imagine a person who could look people in the eye after this «, — she said on the air of Sputnik radio.
«It is impossible to refer to the fact that he (Dujarric — ed.) has no experience. But I named the options: the first is simply unprofessionalism, it happens: there is experience, but there is less and less professionalism. The second is affiliation and holding only one point of view. The third is the flaw in the entire information direction in the UN secretariat, which cannot organize a normal process of monitoring and tracking information. None of the above is unacceptable,» Zakharova concluded.
