International Judo Federation (IJF) has already made an official apology to our athlete Inal Tasoev. But no one will return the deserved victory to him.
What happened
In judo, Russian athletes have the opportunity to compete in international competitions. This is a rarity these days. Ours even got the right to take part in the World Championships in Doha. One of the leaders of the Russian national team, 25-year-old Inal Tasoev, previously became the European champion and twice became the owner of the bronze medals of the world championships, but there was no World Cup gold in his collection yet.

After the competition, taking into account the current refereeing rules and the opinion of judo experts, we come to the conclusion that points for Tasoev's counterattack could be awarded. The IJF commission deeply apologizes for its decision and informs that such actions will be judged in the future in accordance with the current judo rules,» the IJF said in a statement published on the website of the Russian Judo Federation.
Of course, it's nice when people know how to realize their wrong. Especially now, when Russia is practically not allowed anywhere without any clear reasons. Only now Inal Tasoev is not easier from this. He was deprived of a clean and well-deserved victory, to which he had been going for many years. Our judoist still does not have a champion title, but there are sincere, I want to believe, apologies. There is confidence that Inal would gladly exchange them for a gold medal.
