
PERM, May 18. A part of the Perm Territory was covered in haze from fires in the Sverdlovsk and Kurgan regions due to a change in wind, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
“Smog streams from fires in the Sverdlovsk and Kurgan regions fall into the southeastern part of the Perm Territory due to a change in wind. A small amount of smog can be observed until the wind changes. There were no complaints about smog in Perm,” they said. in the department.
The department noted that there was a forest fire in the region in the Gainsky District, but the rescuers have already dealt with it, while smog in the Perm Territory is not associated with this incident.
Last time, smoke in Perm and the region due to fires in neighboring territories was observed on May 12, Rospotrebnadzor checked the air and did not reveal an excess concentration of hazardous substances.
