SIMFEROPOL, May 19. The target of the Ukrainian shelling of the city of Energodar in the Zaporozhye region was a convoy of civilian vehicles, said the head of the public movement «We are with Russia» Vladimir Rogov.
Ukrainian troops opened fire from heavy weapons on Energodar around 6.30 am. Five «arrivals» were recorded near the checkpoint at the entrance to the city. The ambulance driver was injured, the emergency services said earlier.
«The target of the shelling was a column of civilian vehicles. At that time, the maximum number of civilian vehicles stood at the checkpoint. People were going to work, to the market, on business, and so on,» Rogov said.
According to him, the Ukrainian military is delivering targeted strikes against civilians.
