According to the data published by the press service of UzAuto Motors, in the autumn of this year, assembly of cars of the Chinese brand BYD will begin in Uzbekistan. The assembly site will be named BYD Uzbekistan Factory.
It is also reported that the new plant will be built on an area of 10.6 ha on the basis of the Jizzakh Auto site in Jizzakh region. At the first stage, the enterprise will produce about 50 000 cars per year. Later, it is planned to start assembling cars on a full cycle.
Note that the first models to be assembled in Uzbekistan will be Chazor and Song Plus hybrid cars.
