International Olympic Committee (IOC) head Thomas Bach said that athletes of all countries should be represented at the Paris Games in 2024. The hypocrisy of a sports official is simply amazing. It's impossible to believe that he really doesn't understand what's going on.
An old song
Bach spoke at a solemn event in Bulgaria and once again touched upon the issue of admission of Russian athletes to the Olympic Games. The German will not calm down and, for some unknown reason, expresses confidence in the presence of Russia at the Games in Paris.
«
" participation in qualifying competitions that are already taking place. I hope that more federations will comply with our recommendations,» Bach quotes from the Blitz Sport solemn event in Sofia.
At the same time, the recommendations issued by the IOC in March of this year do not contribute to the imminent return of Russia. The organization proposes that athletes associated with the armed forces or security agencies be excluded from tournaments. Already this point is enough to understand how hypocritical these recommendations are. Bach must know that in world sports, most athletes in the Olympic disciplines are somehow connected with the army and similar structures. Thomas, of course, has a lot of questions, but he is certainly competent enough to understand such moments.A lot of words, but where are the deeds?
The more ridiculous his fresh statement looks in Bulgaria, while the Russians are not allowed to compete even in those sports where we have official permission. Some countries boycott tournaments because of Russian athletes, international federations create lists in which our guys are divided into good and bad.

The IOC had to foresee such a development of events before allowing the Russians with a lot of restrictions. Bach trumpeted many times that boycotts would not lead to anything good, but apart from harsh statements, he did absolutely nothing. There is a feeling that the day before the start of the Games, when everyone has already forgotten about the discussions regarding the participation of Russian athletes, Bach will continue to talk about how important it is to work on the return of our athletes and that he will do his best to contribute to this.
