MOSCOW, May 19. International hackathon with the participation of friendly countries will be held in Moscow, it will become part of the project «Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence», the total prize fund which is 34 million rubles, said Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, at the opening of the district hackathon of the Central Federal District in Moscow.
“Thus, within the framework of the federal project “Artificial Intelligence”, the project “Digital Breakthrough. Season: Artificial Intelligence». Taking into account the authority of the competition and the high interest of young and talented specialists, a number of large-scale events are planned in 2023, including 8 regional, 1 all-Russian hackathons. An innovation will be an international hackathon with the participation of friendly countries, which will be held in the capital. General the hackathon prize fund is 34 million rubles,» Chernyshenko said in a video message.
According to the information on the official website of the hackathon, the international event will be held on November 24-26.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the field of introducing artificial intelligence today is of particular interest, and the main goal is «large-scale implementation of these technologies in various sectors of the economy and, of course, in the social sphere.»
«Today we are opening a new season of the project at the site of the first district hackathon in Moscow. Teams will be able to improve their personal and professional qualities, give impetus to the development of key domestic projects that we really need now,» Chernyshenko added.
The district hackathon on artificial intelligence will be held in Moscow from May 19 to 21, participants will solve cases from large companies and federal executive authorities based on the datasets they provide. Among them are tasks from the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, Core ML «VKontakte», the Central Bank, ANO «Corporate Academy of Rosatom». According to the results of the hackathon, fifteen winning teams will share the project prize fund in the amount of 3 million rubles. This is the first of the district hackathons that will be held throughout Russia in 2023.
