MOSCOW, May 19. Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Council on Interethnic Relations on Friday, including the integration of new regions and a model of national policy, said press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.
«He (Putin — ed.) will hold a meeting of the Council on Interethnic Relations today. «There will be three main issues on the agenda, large blocks of issues: these are the advantages of the modern Russian model of state-national policy, the second is the integration of new subjects into the Russian socio-cultural space and the adjustment of the state national policy strategy in the face of external challenges and threats to national sovereignty», Peskov told reporters.
He specified that the meeting would be held via videoconference. According to him, the topic of interethnic relations for Russia is more than important, given the multinational, multi-confessional composition of the country.
«There will be a very, very impressive list of speakers, commentators. There will, of course, be Putin's introductory speech. The director of the Institute of Russian History RAS (Yuri — ed.) Petrov. Just he will talk about the advantages of the modern Russian model of national policy. President of the Academy of Sciences of the Chechen Republic Dzhambulat Umarov will speak, the head of the Federal Agency for Nationalities Affairs Igor Barinov will speak,» the press secretary of the Russian leader said .
Also, according to him, volunteers from Donbass, the head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasilyev, and others will perform.
