The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague on the wanted list after issuing a warrant for the arrest of Putin

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia put the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court in The Hague (ICC) Karim Ahmad Khan on the wanted list. Mediazona found this information in the search database of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This happened two months after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Vladimir Putin.

On March 17, the ICC issued a warrant for the arrest of Vladimir Putin and the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Russia, Maria Lvova-Belova. The court considers that they are “presumably responsible” for the illegal transfer and deportation of children from Ukraine and the occupied territories to Russia during the war.

Three days after that, the Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under the articles of knowingly bringing an innocent person to criminal liability (Part 2 of Article 299 of the Criminal Code), as well as on preparations for an attack on a representative of a foreign state enjoying international protection in order to complicate international relations (Part 2 of Article 360 ​​with the application of Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code).
