MOSCOW, May 20 support strikes on Russian territory when delivering F-16 fighter jets to Kiev, this is an imitation of legal behavior, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on the air of the Zvezda TV channel.
«There is, of course, no law, international law or domestic law to follow. Just as there is no moral basis for making such statements. <…> namely, the initiation or manipulation of data in order to realize their own goals and objectives under the guise of a pseudo-humanitarian principle,» she said.
As Zakharova stressed, everyone is well aware that the United States is waging a hybrid war against the region as a whole, since it is clear that Washington does not spare anyone.
«This is not only a confrontation with our country, it is, of course, the use of both the territory and the people of Ukraine for their own purposes,» the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman concluded. -16 does not support Kiev's attacks on targets on Russian territory.
The states and their allies, as Ukrainian pilots are trained on the F-16, will decide in the coming months who will supply these aircraft to Kyiv and in what quantity. As CNN previously reported, US President Joe Biden informed the G7 leaders that Washington would support allied measures to train pilots from the post-Soviet republic on fighter jets, including the F-16.
Last year, Moscow sent a note to NATO countries because of arms supplies to the post-Soviet republic. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov noted that any cargo with military equipment for Ukraine would become a legitimate target for the Russian army. According to him, the United States and the alliance are directly involved in the conflict — not only by transferring weapons, but also by training personnel in the UK, Germany, Italy and other countries.
