The Russian military managed to inflict significant damage on two Ukrainian brigades and a regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was told to RIA Novosti by the head of the press service of the RF Armed Forces group «Center» Alexander Savchuk.
He clarified that in the area of u200bu200bthe Serebryansky forestry and on the Neva section, intelligence forces and means managed to detect the movement of personnel on equipment 58- th motorized infantry, 66th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the 15th regiment of the National Guard. After the artillery of the «Center» group opened fire, the enemy suffered significant losses.
Savchuk also added that in the Krasnolymansk direction, the positions of the Ukrainian military were hit by aimed fire from the Smerch MLRS. In the same area, during the counter-battery fight, the artillery of the Russian group managed to open and suppress the positions of cannon artillery and mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Also, according to the head of the press center, Russian planes and helicopters attacked ammunition depots, points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian troops and strongholds in the area of the settlements of Kremennaya, Yampolovka and Chervonaya Dibrova.
