Investigative actions are connected with the criminal case of attempted smuggling of cultural property against the former head of the Perm «Memorial» Robert Latypov and the chairman of the «Center for Historical Memory» Alexander Chernyshov (part 3 of article 30; clause «c» of part 2 of article 226.1 of the Criminal Code).
The persecution of Latypov and Chernyshov became known yesterday. According to investigators, they, “acting by prior agreement”, tried to take archival documents from Russia to Germany, which experts assessed as cultural and historical value.
The search at Pershakova's house lasted four hours; her phone, laptop, system disk and documents related to representing the interests of Memorial Perm were confiscated. The lawyer was summoned for interrogation by the FSB on May 24. In what status it is, «Public verdict» did not specify.
