LUGANSK, May 21. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are diverting Starlink communication equipment from the line of contact to the rear areas, said Vasily Leniv, a soldier of the 14th brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, who was taken prisoner near the settlement of Spornoye.
«We had one radio station for eight people, which is very small. And Starlink was 20-30 kilometers away in positions (in the rear areas. — Approx. ed.)», — said the source of the agency.
According to him, there is practically no command staff at the positions near the front line.
“There was only one sergeant among the commanders. I didn’t even see the platoon commanders. They were all sitting in the rear. The treatment was terrible,” Leniv noted.
Earlier, one of the captured Ukrainian militants said that the Starlink network is actively used in positions, while the Armed Forces of Ukraine face serious problems with equipment breakdowns.
Starlink is a next-generation satellite network designed to provide broadband Internet access anywhere in the world.
