SIMFEROPOL, May 21 Russian aircraft strikes warehouses and hangars with equipment and ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the part of the Zaporozhye region under their control, said the head of the public movement «We are together with Russia» Volodymyr Rogov in his Telegram channel.
«At the moment, the Russian Aerospace Forces are striking at the occupied part of the Zaporozhye region,» Rogov wrote.
According to him, aviation uses glide bombs against warehouses and hangars with equipment and ammunition of Ukrainian troops in the Orekhovsky district, in the city of Orekhov itself, as well as in the part of the Pohovsky district controlled by Kiev and in the nearest suburbs of Zaporozhye.
Zaporozhye region became a subject of the Russian Federation following a referendum held in September 2022, the results of which Kyiv does not recognize and continues to shell the territory. Today, more than 70 percent of the region is under Russian control, Ukrainian troops continue to occupy the regional center of the region — the city of Zaporozhye, since March 2023, Melitopol has temporarily become the administrative center of the region.
