MOSCOW, May 22. The share of domestic information security solutions in Russia at the end of 2022 amounted to 30-35%, by the end of 2023 it will exceed 50%, Andrey Krasnov, director of client solutions development for beeline cloud, said.
“The state, with the help of regulatory requirements, has stimulated the development of domestic solutions in the field of information security for about 15 years. According to our estimates, about 80-90% of the classes of information security solutions can be imported painlessly, there are products. But at the same time, by the end of 2022, the share of domestic of information security solutions in the Russian Federation amounted to 30-35%. We predict that by the end of 2023 this share will exceed 50%,» Krasnov said.
With regard to system and application software (software), according to the expert, the situation in this area is «not so rosy.» This is due to the fact that the development cycle of a quality product is 5-7 years, while the real work to stimulate this industry began about 2 years ago.
«I believe that it is possible to replace about 30% of existing foreign software with imports, but now the share of domestic solutions is no more than 15%,» Krasnov said.
The expert cited as an example the products of the American corporation Microsoft, which have penetrated the market quite strongly due to the ecosystem approach and solving a large number of tasks. «There are no such examples in Russia yet, but such players as 1C and similar companies have great potential and may well occupy this niche,» Krasnov believes.
