A case was opened against Vladimir Mishchuk, a serviceman from the Khabarovsk Territory, about «fake news» about the army, and the materials were submitted to the court. The case card was published on the website of the Khabarovsk Garrison Military Court, OVD-Info drew attention to it.
It is not yet known what was the reason for the criminal prosecution. In March, Mishchuk was charged under an article on spreading “fake news” about the armed forces motivated by political hatred (paragraph “e” of part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code).
As OVD-Info draws attention to, on the website of the 1st Eastern District Military Court of Khabarovsk there is information about an appeal against the preventive measure of the person being prosecuted under the same article — probably Mishchuk. Judging by the information on the website of the district court, in November the Khabarovsk garrison military court sent Mishchuk to a pre-trial detention center, and two months later extended his detention.
