Erdogan said he did not bargain with the ex-candidate who supported him

ANKARA, May 22. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview that he did not «bargain» with ex-presidential candidate Sinan Ogan, who supported his candidacy in the second round of the presidential elections on May 28.
Former Turkish presidential candidate from the Ata Alliance Sinan Ogan announced on Monday his support for Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the second round of the presidential elections on May 28. In his speech, he stressed the importance of expelling several million illegal migrants from Turkey and developing a deportation schedule, as well as continuing to fight all terrorist groups.
«There was no trade between me and Mr. Sinan Ogan. The opposition is always trying to speculate on such things. There was no such requirement (to get a position in the new government of Erdogan in case of success in the elections — ed.). the question is to create a ministry of emergencies. We have AFAD (disaster management agency — ed.), but it is not a ministry. These are issues that can be considered. They can be emphasized in principle. This can be put on the agenda day not as AFAD, but as a ministry. It can be created. It can also be a ministry,» Erdogan said in an interview with TRT Haber.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won 49.52% of the votes in the first round of the presidential elections, his opponent from seven opposition parties Kemal Kilicdaroglu — 44.88%. Ogan was supported by 2,796,613 voters (5.28%). At the same time, more than 1 million 20 thousand votes were declared invalid. The second round of presidential elections is scheduled for May 28. To win, a candidate needs a simple majority of votes. Voting started on Saturday in foreign missions of Turkey and at border checkpoints.
