In Russia, they invented a «paratrooper» — a cargo delivery man

It will be able to land where the operator tells it to

An inventor from Tatarstan has recently patented a method for landing cargo on high-precision parachutes. The dome of such a vehicle will be controlled by a mechanical «parachutist».

He can land where the operator tells him to

Parachuting began almost since the invention of this device, but this method of delivering luggage has always had one big drawback — it was very, very difficult to guess where the luggage would land. The invention of the Tatarstan Kulibin will solve this problem.

The design of the invention consists of three components — a parachute, an intermediate suspension system and a control unit. The intermediate system is made of ribbons sewn in the form of the letter «H». Most of the parachute lines are attached to the four legs of the «letter», and a control unit is attached to the crossbar, capable of receiving signals from navigation sensors and controlling the canopy.

To do this, it is equipped with two drive mechanisms that replace the parachutist's hands. They also have attached straps sewn to opposite sides of the parachute. By tightening the lines from one side or the other, if necessary, he will be able to adjust the descent route.

The load will also cling to the letter “H” using a special bridle located under the control unit. In order to control the device, the operator will only need to set the exact coordinates of the landing site, then the “paratrooper machine” will do everything by itself.
