MOSCOW, May 19. Valery Gergiev opens the cultural and educational special project «Tchaikovsky's Land», according to website of the International Tchaikovsky Competition.
Leaders of their fields and talented youth read bright excerpts from the composer's diaries.
Participants — President of the All-Russian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics Irina Viner, great-great-grandson of Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy, President of the International Association of Teachers Russian Language and Literature Vladimir Tolstoy, Khibla Gerzmava, Ildar Abdrazakov, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Denis Matsuev, international grandmaster Anatoly Karpov, violinist Vladimir Spivakov, Ivan Bessonov, cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev, Sergei Bezrukov and others.

This year's show runs from June 19 to July 1. Gergiev is co-chairman of its Organizing Committee.
