MOSCOW, May 23 the appeal of the players to the Russian fans is an «innocent act», according to sport.es, citing the EFE agency.
A source at the club told EFE that the video message was recorded at a La Liga event that was organized for foreign media with rights to broadcast the Spanish championship. Representatives of Okko Sport, Primera's exclusive broadcaster, asked Sergi Roberto and Alejandro Balde to record a short video in which they were both supposed to greet the Russian fans of Barcelona. The club noted that the recording of the video was not agreed with La Liga.
Earlier, the Ukrainian clubs Dynamo and Shakhtar, as well as the Polish striker of Barcelona Robert Lewandowski, criticized Balde and Roberto for a video in which they thanked the Russian fans for their support and stated that the fans are part of the success of the team, which in season 2022/23 won the championship of Spain.
