BEIJING, May 23 China is ready to expand trade and economic ties with Russia, Premier Li Qiang said in a congratulatory letter to participants in Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai, the text of which was quoted on Tuesday by China Central Television.
As the TV channel noted, on May 23, Li Qiang sent a congratulatory letter to the participants of the Russian-Chinese business forum.
«China is ready to further expand economic and trade ties with Russia and promote cooperation in both qualitative and quantitative terms,» Li Qiang is quoted as saying TV channel.
The Premier of the State Council also expressed hope that Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs will use the potential of cooperation, expanding the content of business cooperation between the two countries.
On Tuesday, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who is on a visit to China, took part in a Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai.
As the press service of the Russian Cabinet reported, Mishustin will meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping in Beijing on Wednesday and hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.
According to Chinese customs, trade between Russia and China grew by 29.3% in 2022, to a record $190.271 billion. During this period, China imported goods to Russia worth $76.122 billion, which is 12.8% higher than in 2021, while deliveries from Russia to China increased by 43.4%, to $114.149 billion.
