MOSCOW, May 23 Russia struggled beyond security, but was forced to launch a special operation in Ukraine, said the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
«The Russian Federation, which fought hard for the security framework, tried to provide guarantees earlier, but was forced to launch a special military operation,» Dodik said at the meeting with the head of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The President of the Republika Srpska wished a speedy end to the conflict in Ukraine.
Dodik said that he was demanded that the Republika Srpska impose sanctions against Russia.
“But we decided that we simply will not be part of this hysteria that is being created,” the president said.
He noted that the Republika Srpska stands for the conflict to be resolved at the level of the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
Dodik stressed that the special operation is «not a war between Ukraine and Russia, it is a clash between the West, which will use Russia to inflate this war.»
Dodik noted that Republika Srpska does not share the West's «hysterical» approach to the situation around Ukraine.< br>
