MOSCOW, May 23. Number of appeals to the Constitutional the court of Russia, starting from 2019, remains at the level of about 12 thousand a year, said the chairman of the court Valery Zorkin.
Russian President Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with Zorkin on Tuesday, the transcript of which was published on the Kremlin's website.
«The number of complaints and relevant decisions of the Constitutional Court has remained approximately at the same level. 12,000 (appeals) are received with some (fluctuations), plus or minus, starting from 2019. Approximately 3,700 decisions of the Constitutional Court are obtained from them,» — Zorkin told the head of state.
According to him, this difference is due to the fact that the rest of the appeals touch upon issues not related to the powers of the Constitutional Court of Russia, up to complaints about the refusal to provide an apartment.
