VORONEZH, May 25 Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev announced his candidacy for the election of the head of the region, which will be held in September this year.
Elections will be held on the Single Voting Day — September 10th.
«»He announced his participation in the September elections of the governor of the Voronezh region. To officially become a candidate, he will have to go through the intra-party voting procedure in United Russia, which was launched today,» Gusev wrote on his Telegram channel on Thursday .
He won the election of the governor of the Voronezh region in 2018. Prior to that, Gusev had been acting head of the region since December 2017. Previously, he was the mayor of Voronezh, having been elected to this post in 2013.
