Head of the Kiev City Military Administration (KGVA) Serhiy Popko said on the administration's telegram channel on Sunday that on the night of May 28, the Ukrainian capital was subjected to the most massive drone attack since the beginning of the NMD.
According to Popkov, the air raid in the city did not stop for 5 hours.
Ukrainian air defense systems were operating in Kiev, and damage was recorded in different areas due to falling debris. One person died. Another one was injured.
According to the mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko, explosions and a fire occurred in the Solomensky district of the capital. He allowed «UAV debris to hit» and announced the destruction of the warehouse after a series of explosions.
Earlier, residents of Kyiv complained about shelters closed during the alarm. The head of the KGVA noted that «unfortunately, similar cases were recorded in almost all districts of the capital.»
