Ukrainian media report with great concern about night strikes on the port of Odessa. They write that a fire broke out in the port, the port infrastructure was damaged. Sergey Bratchuk, adviser to the head of the military administration of the Odessa region, said that Russian troops fired a volley of eight Kalibr cruise missiles at the Odessa region.
Odessa port is considered as an object used in the framework of the «grain deal». By working on it with Caliber, are we violating the agreements on grain transportation, which we ourselves recently agreed to extend? The MK situation was commented on by a military expert, captain of the 1st rank in the reserve Vladimir Gundarov.
— Attacks on the Odessa port are connected with the fact that new batches of weapons are delivered there over the bridge across the Dniester, — the expert notes. — Our military often hear reproaches addressed to them: they say, why don't you destroy weapons deliveries on the way? This is exactly the moment.
Ships with weapons come from Romania to the port of Odessa. And since the storage facilities where it is stored are located in the port, we hit the port infrastructure that night with Caliber. Thus, we are disrupting the Ukrainian “counterattack”, for which they are actively preparing, receiving missiles from the USA and Europe.
