In Saratov, law enforcers searched the home of Konstantin Khalin, deputy editor-in-chief of the local publication Vzglyad-info, after his publication about the family of the regional deputy prosecutor. The publication itself reports this.
According to Halin, the police followed him for two days. They also knocked on his and neighbor's apartments. The reason for the search, according to the journalist, was the denunciation of Anton Skorokhodov from Saratov about slander against him in an unnamed Telegram channel. Vzglyad-info writes that the man had previously threatened Khalin. Journalists of the publication claim that they are not related to publications about Skorokhodov.
Vzglyad-info writes that shortly before the visit of the security forces, on May 17, Khalin published an article stating that the wife of the first deputy prosecutor of the Saratov region, Iosif Mineev, uses a company car to take her daughter to kindergarten.< /p>
“We are convinced that searches are a tool of intimidation in the hands of those who are dissatisfied with the editorial policy of Vzglyad,” reads a message on the Vzglyad-info website.
