Russia, as part of the grain damper, has a flexible export duty on wheat, corn and barley since June 2021. Since July 2022, the calculation of these fees has been transferred to rubles. The base price for calculating the duty on wheat was set at 15,000 rubles per ton.
The day before, at a meeting with Vladimir Putin on the topic of the sowing campaign, Patrushev said that the mechanism for calculating fees would be adjusted earlier than planned, that is, before June 1. According to him, this is necessary to reduce the burden on growers.
