The caterpillar will help him with this
The invention of a 76-year-old inventor from Troitsk will help him lie down to move through sands, swamps, snow and impenetrable mud. Recently, the originality of its development was confirmed by the Russian patent office.
The author called his invention a caterpillar recumbent electric scooter. A similar development is patented in America, but it is intended only for movement on snow. The vehicle invented by Troitsky Kulibin should become a real all-terrain vehicle.
The electric scooter consists of two frames connected by a hinge. A caterpillar mover is installed on the front, that is, a wide caterpillar belt, the wheels that set it in motion are connected to the engine, and that one is connected to the battery. In addition, the battery housing has speed and brake control knobs, as well as two pedals. On the rear frame there is a driver's bed, a spring and two motor-wheels of large diameter and a battery. In «winter» mode, the wheels are replaced by skis.
To set off, the driver sits on the bed, puts his feet on the pedals and starts the scooter using the control stick. The track motor and the wheel motor are turned on at the same time. With the help of pedals, the driver steers the car by turning the front frame left or right with his feet. The author notes that this design allows the caterpillar recumbent electric scooter to move confidently both on sands, impenetrable mud and wetlands, and on snow.
