SIMFEROPOL, May 28. The telecommunications infrastructure of Crimea is under attack during a special operation in Ukraine, hacker attacks have become more frequent, the press service of the largest telecom operator reported peninsula «Miranda-Media».
On Friday, the Crimean authorities reported an accident on the network of the telecom operator Miranda Media, which created a problem with providing Internet communications on the peninsula. The reason for the failure of the Internet was the largest hacker attack in the history of the company, the elimination of the consequences of which took 16 hours.
«During a special military operation, the telecommunications infrastructure is under the special eye of the opponents and DDos attacks are made more often than in peacetime,» the company's press service said.
After the largest hacker attack on the company's resources on Friday, some services, the contact center, and the company's website remain inaccessible. The press service asked customers to contact the company's groups in social networks.
«Today, some services may not be available to customers, including payment for services. Understanding this, we will not stop providing communication services. Moreover, we will provide compensation to customers, the details of which will be announced a little later, additionally. Due to the large number of calls to contact- center, some customers cannot get through to the company and tell about their problem, so we ask everyone who has difficulties in receiving communication services to contact the company's official groups on social networks: VKontakte and the telegram channel «Miranda-media. Earlier on Sunday, the company's CEO announced the complete restoration of the network infrastructure, information services are partially available — for security purposes.
