    BRUSSELS, May 30 EU diplomat Josep Borrell did not rule out introduction of EU measures against Kosovo and Serbia in case the parties continue the confrontation and impede normalization.
    «EU member states are receiving information about developments at the current meeting of the political and security committee, and discussing measures that can be taken if the parties continue to impede the implementation of the proposed de-escalation steps,» he said at a joint press conference in Brussels with the President of Montenegro.

    He also added that his representatives are in Kosovo, looking for ways to de-escalate.

    On Monday, thousands of Kosovo Serbs gathered in front of local government buildings in the north of the province demanding the withdrawal of the Kosovo police and the recall of the Kosovo Albanian mayors. Soldiers of the NATO KFOR contingent with means to disperse demonstrations were distributed near the buildings of the municipalities of Zvecan, Leposavich and Zubin Potok. Behind them were a large Kosovo police force that prevented the Kosovo Serbs from approaching the buildings.
