Vedomosti: Dubai Mall and Reebok owners can acquire Decathlon assets in Russia
Turkish company FLO Retailing, which owns Russian Reebok, and Lebanese Azadea Group (owner of Dubai Mall) are interested in acquiring business of the French network Decathlon in the Russian Federation. Corresponding negotiations are already underway, Vedomosti writes.
Two options for the deal are being considered. According to the sources of the publication, the first of them is the purchase by the investor of the entire network in our country and the relaunch of Decathlon stores according to the franchising model. The second one is the same, but with the closing of a number of outlets.
According to preliminary estimates, the deal may not be closed until autumn. However, it is not known if there are other potential buyers of Decathlon's assets in Russia.
Market experts were unable to accurately estimate the company's total assets. Some experts estimated them at 3-4 billion rubles, other experts call a completely different value of assets — 8-10 billion rubles.
