MOSCOW, 31 May. The strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the Starokonstantinov military airfield in the Khmelnitsky region caused serious damage, destroying fighter jets and Storm Shadow missiles, writes Stephen Brien for Asia Times.
«On May 29, the Russians attacked the 7th tactical air brigade in Starokonstantinov. Five Su-24s were damaged or destroyed, and Storm Shadow missile storage facilities were damaged,» the publication says.
The article notes that it is not yet clear if this unit is the only one equipped with Storm Shadow, but in any case, the loss of aircraft and missiles is a serious blow to Ukraine, which caused a lot of noise.
Earlier, Advisor to the Command of the Air Force (AF) of the Ukrainian troops, Yuriy Ignat, confirmed the night strike on May 29 and stated that it hit a military airfield in the Khmelnitsky region of Ukraine.
