The tragedy occurred in the city of Palm Bay, Florida. The parents of an 11-month-old girl arrived at a church service and left her in the car. They returned only a few hours later.
The police officers who arrived at the scene of the incident recorded that the girl was unconscious. She was taken to the nearest hospital, where doctors could only ascertain the death of the child.
