MOSCOW, May 31 Former UFC champion in two weight divisions Irishman Conor McGregor announced his readiness to fight three or four times a year for the title.
“We need to keep moving on, this is not the end. The new UFC belt has an Irish flag on it, so I need to add it to my collection,” McGregor is quoted as saying by the UFC Russia YouTube channel.
«One fight a year is not enough, I want to fight three or four times a year to get what I want. One fight a year is crazy, and that's how I fought: a fight, a year of downtime, a fight, a year of downtime «Now the leg injury is still dragging on. I'm 1-1 with (Nate) Diaz, there are still a couple of unclosed confrontations,» the Irishman added.
McGregor is 34 years old. In July 2021, he suffered a broken leg in his third fight against American Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and has not fought a single fight since. He has 22 wins and 6 losses to his credit, he previously held the UFC championship belts in the lightweight and featherweight divisions.
