The Mini brand is part of the Bavarian concern BMW. The brand introduced the current second-generation Countryman SUV in 2016, this model went through restyling at the end of spring 2020. Recall that the company is now developing the next generation Countryman, and the novelty will appear soon, at the end of this year. However, they decided to give the current version a new «off-road» special version — we are talking about the Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 Uncharted Edition.

The new version differs from the «regular» Countryman due to the exterior. In particular, the Uncharted Edition variant has a two-tone body color: the roof and lower part are decorated in white, and the middle part (approximately to the middle of the grille), as well as the fifth door, received a signature gray-blue tint.
The manufacturer decided to complement this combination with bright orange accents and black elements in the form of roof pillars, roof rails, a body kit around the perimeter of the body, door handles, rims, nameplates and headlight bezels. One of the features of the special version is tires: the Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 Uncharted Edition received General Grabber AT3 off-road tires.

There are fewer changes in the interior, it looks more restrained. The special version has a black glossy decorative wide plate on the front panel, on which the inscription Uncharted is visible from the passenger side. Another series name (this time in orange) adorns the steering wheel, and it is also displayed on the door sill trims. The new version has black leather seats with fabric inserts.

Mini Cooper S Countryman All4 Uncharted Edition will be offered with only one “stuffing” option. We are talking about a 2.0-liter four-cylinder biturbo engine, whose power is 178 hp. Such a car has an all-wheel drive system by default. This SUV takes 7.3 seconds to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds”, and its maximum speed is 222 km/h.

Recall that the model will have versions with both internal combustion engines and fully electric “stuffing”. It is assumed that the “electric train” can share equipment with a compact crossover BMW iX1. In this case, the SUV will get a battery with a capacity of 64.7 kWh, the Bavarian SUV has a power reserve on a single charge of 438 km (when calculated according to the WLTP cycle). It is equipped with a twin-engine power plant (one electric motor on each axle), its total power is 313 hp, and the torque is 494 Nm. The BMW iX1 also has a top speed of 180 km/h.
There is a possibility that The “third” Countryman with internal combustion engines will borrow the technology from the current BMW X1. In this case, its engine lineup will include gasoline and diesel options, including “mild hybrid” power plants. It is expected that the novelty will also have rechargeable hybrids. It is known that the production of the next Mini Countryman will be launched this year at the BMW plant in Leipzig (Germany): it will take the place of the BMW i3, which was retired in the summer of 2022.
