MOSCOW, May 30. Head coach of the Italian football club Roma José Mourinho said that history makes the Spanish «Sevilla» favorites for the Europa League final, but history does not come out on the field.
Club of Rome, which won last season's Conference League, will face the six-time winner of the Europa League on May 31 in Budapest.
«For Sevilla to play in the Europa League final is almost the norm, for us it is an extraordinary event. History does not take the field, but history makes them favorites, we respect that. They have experience that they don't have us, but we deserved this final. We have come a long way, unlike our rivals who got into this competition from the Champions League,» Mourinho was quoted as saying by Agence France-Presse.
