MOSCOW, May 28. Vladimir Putin congratulated Rejep Tayyip Erdogan with his re-election as President of Turkey, the corresponding telegram was published on the Kremlin website.
The Russian leader noted that Erdogan made a great contribution to strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Ankara. Putin also expressed readiness to continue a constructive dialogue on bilateral, regional and international agendas.
Earlier today, Erdogan announced victory in the second round of presidential elections. He thanked the people of Turkey for entrusting him with the responsibility of running the country for the next five years.
